On October 21, the world celebrates World Apple Day. In 2021, there was a good apple harvest, that is why the Company has already announced the first achieved targets this season.

The plants plan to process 500 thousand tons of apples by the end of 2021. We have already processed about 40% of the planned production volume.

“We anticipate harvesting apples by mid-December, and things will depend on the timing of the first frosts. We create additional jobs during the peak season. In addition, during the pandemic, we are adopting measures for occupational safety and have organized vaccination for employees who are willing to undergo it”, –  the Company reports.

Owing to the late start of the season, this year’s harvest had some differences from previous seasons, in particular:

  • high acidity of apple juice;
  • low apple sugar content.

In 2021, the season began later compared to previous years; we started with the processing of wild apples. This was caused by an abnormally late and cold spring, which resulted in late flowering, along with a cool and showery summer. As a result, the harvesting season was delayed by almost a month.
